Olazagasti served as the men’s soccer coach for seven years (1991-97), ending with an 83-35-4 record.  His final campaign saw the team notch a 16-3-1 record, a school record for most victories at the time, one season after notching a 15-4-1 mark.  Olazagasti also led the then Goldey-Beacom Braves to the NAIA District 19 title in 1992 and 1993.  Olazagasti was a respected referee, entrepreneur and devoted student of the game on both a regional and national level before passing away in 2010.  He also served honorably in the United States Army, 27th Infantry Division, Korea, achieving the rank of corporal and receiving many commendations including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
