Wilmington, DE – Women's Soccer wins second CACC match against Bloomfield

The Lightning women's soccer team hosted Bloomfield College for their homecoming game.  From the start of the game, the Lightning was on the offensive.  In the 20^th minute, Taylor Faunt scored the team's first goal, as she finished a cross from five yards out off an Ashley Longo service.   

Minutes later, the Lightning scored again.  Marisa Valladares earned her sixth goal of the season with a shot from 15 yards out from Kate Attenberger assist. 

The two first-half goals would be all the Lightning would need to earn their second CACC win of the year.  The Lightning now move to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the CACC. 

The Lightning will next play at Wilmington University on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 3:00pm.  The game will be played at the Kirkwood Soccer Club, in New Castle, DE.
