Women’s Soccer Reveals 2026 Schedule

A new coach and a new sense in confidence awaits the 2026 edition of Goldey-Beacom Women's Soccer and that commences with a challenging schedule and the squad in search of its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title.

The season opens August 27 at home against Pace and continues with road games at Mercy on the 30th and Molloy on September 2. GBC then is home September 9 vs. Saint Thomas Aquinas and three days later vs. Assumption.

CACC play begins September 16 at Felician before two intriguing road tilts. GBC on September 22 visits Jefferson, which last season played in the East Region final and finished the year ranked 12th in the country. The squad four days later is at Caldwell, which competed in the CACC final.

Homecoming & Lightning Family Weekend features a contest October 3 against Dominican (NY). The weekend's events include opportunities for alums to come back on campus to reunite with many friends and also see the many changes that many who continue to be part of the family help ignite. It also will give an opportunity for parents to come on campus and spend time with their kids as part of an atmosphere filled with festivities and fun.

GBC on October 6 visits Wilmington before home games on the 10th against Post and the 14th vs. Staten Island. The regular season ends at home October 28 against Chestnut Hill.

Each CACC quarterfinal and semifinal game will be held at the higher seed. The quarterfinals are November 1, the semifinals are the 4th and the final is the 7th in Newark, DE.

Junior Tess Pearce (Manchester, England) returns to play a big role for the squad at midfield. Her great playmaking skills were on display a season ago, when she dished 10 assists to tie for the conference lead and tie for the fifth best single-season mark in program annals.

Senior defender Lexy Yeager (West Deptford, NJ) last season was a key component in starting all 18 games. Possessing the scoring mindset of a forward and the durability of a defender, Yeager has made 40 starts over her 52-game career and will be counted on for leadership.

Yeager a season ago was personally responsible for three points in the standings, which put Goldey-Beacom in the CACC Tournament. She scored the tying goal with 37 seconds left at Holy Family in a 1-1 draw and netted the winning goal with two seconds left in Goldey-Beacom's 4-3 triumph at Dominican (NY).

Senior defender Teagan Ayers (Millersburg, PA) has seen her playing time increase each season and this year should be no different. A solid competitor who made nine starts last year over 14 matches, Ayers helped the Lightning not allow more than one goal on seven occasions.

Goldey-Beacom welcomes a new face to the sideline with Heather Faasse taking over as the first female coach in program history. Faasse the last two years was at Virginia Military Academy, first as an assistant coach and last year as the associate head coach. She also served as the head coach for Chattanooga FC after she was the head coach at Norwich University.
