Biography
At Goldey-Beacom: Third-year forward who has started in 30 games in two years at GBC…can be an impact player offensively…should start on the Lightning front line in 2010.
2009 Season: Started all 16 games…took 12 shots and put six on goal (.500 shot on-goal percentage).
2008 Season: Started all 14 games…scored seven points on two goals and three assists…took 29 shots and put 11 on goal…scored a goal in the Lightning’s 11-0 thumping of Columbia Union (9/8) and the lone goal in GBC’s near upset of Dominican (9/20)…assisted on Taylor Faunt’s goal in a 2-0 victory over Bloomfield (10/11) and dished out two assists in a big, 5-3 win over cross-town rival Wilmington.
High School: Played three years of varsity soccer at Alexis I. DuPont…also ran cross country and played basketball…led soccer team to State Tournament all three seasons…also played for the Kirkwood Peach Blossoms and the Hockessin Lightning…member of the National Honor Society…graduated in the top-10 of her class.
Personal: Ashley Longo…teammates call her “Smash”…chose GBC because it had the major she wanted…chose Division II athletics because she could play competitive soccer and be a part of a team…enjoys soccer, cooking and traveling, reading and working out…describes herself as “fierce.”
