Women’s Soccer Picked to Finish Eighth in the CACC

A new era begins in the history of Goldey-Beacom Women's Soccer and it will open with the squad picked to close eighth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, bases on a vote of the league's coaches.

Junior Tess Pearce (Manchester, England) returns to play a big role for the squad at midfield. Her great playmaking skills were on display a season ago, when she dished 10 assists to tie for the conference lead and tie for the fifth best single-season mark in program annals.

Senior forward Lexy Yeager (West Deptford, NJ) last season was a key component in starting all 18 games. Possessing the scoring mindset of a forward and the durability of a defender, Yeager has made 40 starts over her 52-game career and will be counted on for leadership.

Yeager a season ago personally was responsible for three points in the standings, which put Goldey-Beacom in the CACC Tournament. She scored the tying goal with 37 seconds left at Holy Family in a 1-1 draw and netted the winning goal with two seconds left in Goldey-Beacom's 4-3 triumph at Dominican (NY).

Senior defender Teagan Ayers (Millersburg, PA) has seen her playing time increase each season and this year should be no different. A solid competitor who made nine starts last year over 14 matches, Ayers helped the Lightning not allow more than one goal on seven occasions.

Goldey-Beacom welcomes a new face to the sideline with Heather Faasse taking over as the first female coach in program history. Faasse the last two years was at Virginia Military Academy, first as an assistant coach and last year as the associate head coach. She also served as the head coach for Chattanooga FC after she was the head coach at Norwich University.

Women's Soccer will be the first team to open the 2026-27 athletics year, hosting Pace at 1:00 pm.
