A starter in all six games for Coach Bethann Burke and the Lightning women's basketball team, senior guard Briana Richmond-Peters averaged 13.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per game during the month of December.

She also shot 47.1 per cent from the field in those six games and contributed five blocked shots.

After scoring a career-high 21 points with 12 rebounds at Bloomsburg on Dec. 1, the Camden, N.J. native tallied 16 points with eight rebounds in a victory over Concordia on Dec. 7. In a loss against No. 23 Shaw on Dec. 14, the Lightning co-captain led Goldey-Beacom with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Richmond-Peters led the Lightning to a CACC victory over Chestnut Hill on Dec. 18 by scoring 11 points with nine rebounds. She also contributed nine points with 11 rebounds at Philadelphia University on Dec. 21.

The Lightning's second-leading scorer with an 11.3 average, Richmond-Peters has started all 12 games this season. She also leads the team and ranks fifth in the CACC by averaging 9.4 rebounds per game.
