A starter in all six games for the Lightning women's basketball team, junior guard Lillian Chukwueze led Goldey-Beacom to a 4-2 record in the month of November, including a three-game win streak to end the month.
The Lightning's leading scorer with a 15.5 average, Chukwueze also led the team with 13 steals while ranking second on the team by averaging 7.7 rebounds per outing.
Chukwueze, who scored in double figures in four of the Lightning's six games, exploded for a season-high 28 points in Goldey-Beacom's 63-57 triumph over Georgian Court on Nov. 26. She made 10 of 20 shots from the floor, including a 3-for-6 effort from three-point range, and also converted 7 of 10 free throws. She also added eight rebounds, three steals and two assists.
In her first game of the season, the Cherry Hill, N.J. native tallied 18 points in leading the Lightning to a win over Franklin Pierce. In addition, she also contributed back-to-back 18-point efforts against the University of the Sciences on Nov. 12 and at Shippensburg on Nov. 15.
Through games of Nov. 28, Chukwueze is the 10th-leading scorer in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference while ranking third in the CACC with 13 steals.
