First CACC Awards of 2026-27 See Three Make the League’s Weekly Honor Roll

Opening week of the 2026-27 athletics year produced three Goldey-Beacom student-athletes making the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll with senior Baylee Brin (Salina, KS) honored for Volleyball along with senior Lexy Yeager (West Deptford, NJ) and sophomore Maria Empadinhas (Cascais, Portugal) getting the same nod for Women's Soccer.

Brin was on another planet last week with 42 kills, a .316 hitting percentage, 11 digs, four block solos and six block assists over five matches. In the opener Thursday vs. Millersville, she closed with 14 kills, just one error and a .650 percentage. The next day, Brin recorded 10 kills and only one error with a .563 percentage. She also had 10 kills Saturday against Shaw, which helped the Lightning go 4-1 on the week.

Yeager closed with a goal and an assist in Goldey-Beacom's 4-2 loss Sunday at No. 25 Mercy. She now stands at 13 career goals and 28 points over 54 games, including 42 starts.

Empadinhas ended with 13 saves over two games, including 10 on Sunday at Mercy. She has played all 180 minutes in net during the young season.

Volleyball returns to action Tuesday at Kutztown for a 6:30 pm match and Women's Soccer on Wednesday is at Molloy for a 4:00 pm game.
