Goldey-Beacom Women's Basketball Coach/Assistant Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator Bethann Burke and her husband Dan will be featured October 20 as part of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's retrospective series.

The two recently were interviewed by CACC Associate Commissioner Doug DeBiase on their lives as college sweethearts, basketball coaches at rival schools and parents to their three-year-old daughter, Julianna.

The interview will be available October 20 at 8:00 pm Eastern Time on CACCnetwork.com.

The two share an interesting perspective in the Goldey-Beacom vs. Wilmington (DE) rivalry with Dan serving as the latter's men's basketball coach.  Bethann and Dan both played at CACC-foe Chestnut Hill College.

Bethann recently was featured on the Moms in Coaching podcast and that can be heard by clicking here.  She and Dan in 2018 were featured in an article by Mike Jensen on Philly.com and that can be found by clicking here.

Bethann is going into her eighth season with the Lightning and has recorded 86 victories, just eight away from tying Jen Carleton (2007-13) as the program's winningest coach.  She has made four appearances in the CACC Tournament, paced the Lightning to the 2014 ECAC final and had 11 players named All-CACC with at least one each season.

Among the 2019-20 accomplishments include Amanda McGrogan (Mount Laurel, NJ) being named second team All-CACC along with fellow seniors Jill Latanowich (Newton, MA) and Chiara Giesselbach (Weiterstadt, Germany) invited to the WBCA "So You Want to Be A Coach" class.

Burke also coached a CACC Rookie of the Year in Lexi Bruno and helped current assistant coach Britani Bryson become the first in program history to record 1,000 career points, 1,000 career rebounds and 100 career blocks.

A member of Coach Mark Miller's staff at Holy Family University for four years, Burke guided the Tigers to a 108-18 record and four NCAA Tournament appearances.  In addition, Holy Family won the 2012 and 2013 CACC championships.
