Women’s Basketball Falls at Jefferson

Goldey-Beacom was undone by a tough Jefferson squad in the opening half and was handed an 82-43 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss in Philadelphia, PA.
 
Jefferson owned a 42-17 halftime lead by shooting 40 percent (17-of-43) from the field that included 50 percent (9-of-18) in the second quarter.  Gabby Recinto scored 17 points in the half on 7-of-13 shooting with Emily Spratt adding 12.
 
Sophomore Marasia Dyes (Binghamton, NY) overall closed with nine points on 4-of-6 shooting, freshman Eva Walker (Wilmington, DE) netted seven with senior Karlee Lemon (Williamsburg, VA) adding six for the Lightning (5-19, 5-12 CACC).
 
Recinto poured in 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting with 14 rebounds, Spratt scored 19 points with Caleigh Sperling adding 13 for the Rams (17-9, 11-7).
 
Goldey-Beacom this Saturday visits Post for a 1:00 pm game.
