3/4/2026 12:00:00 AM

Goldey-Beacom sophomore Tre Powell (Mount Laurel, NJ) was picked first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for Men's Basketball, junior Emarquis Jones (Brooklyn, NY) was named third team and senior Rory Ciszkowski (Wilmington, DE) was selected third team all-league for Women's Basketball.

Powell amazed all season with his incredible shooting touch, quickness in driving to the goal and tenacity in clutch situations.  He scored at least 20 points on 11 occasions this season, which included a career-best 33 points Tuesday in Goldey-Beacom's 88-87 victory over Georgian Court in the CACC Tournament quarterfinals.

He also scored 33 points February 17 at Jefferson and 32 on January 24 vs. Caldwell.

Powell is 16th in team history with 905 career points, third with a .402 three-point percentage, fifth with an .837 free throw percentage and sixth with 241 made free throws.  His 557 points are tied for the sixth-best single-season mark in team annals.

He is third in the league with 19.2 points per game, first with a .438 three-point percentage, second with an .834 free throw percentage, third with 4.7 assists per contest, fifth with 2.2 three-pointers per game and ninth with 1.6 steals per contest.

Jones has been a tremendous addition to the program with his toughness in the paint, solid defense and ability to give the Lightning yet another scoring presence.  He has notched five double-doubles this season, scoring a season-best 24 points January 10 against Post.

Jones is 16th in the CACC with 13.5 points per game, fourth with 2.0 steals per contest, seventh with 7.0 rebounds per game, seventh with a .517 field goal percentage and 11th with 0.8 blocks per contest.

Tuesday's victory for Goldey-Beacom (20-9) tied the school record for most wins and marked the fifth time it accomplished this.  GBC is the No. 2 seed for the CACC Tournament and on Saturday will face sixth-seeded Dominican (NY) in the semifinals, beginning after 2:00 pm in Caldwell, NJ.

It marks the eighth time the Lightning will compete in the CACC semifinals.

Ciszkowski adds more hardware after being picked third team all-conference in 2023-24.  One of the most prolific shooters in team history, she also made a huge impact late in her career with her solid rebounding ability that took the pressure off a lot of frontcourt players.

Ciszkowski graduates first in school history with 279 three-pointers, ninth with 1,281 points and owns three of top five single-season marks in school history for 3-pointers.  She enters the week 18th in the league with 10.6 points per game, first with a .403 three-point percentage, fourth with 1.9 three-pointers per contest, eighth with 7.7 rebounds per game and eighth with a .461 field goal percentage.
