Goldey-Beacom senior forward Jenna Fannon (Newark, DE), who put forth one of the most remarkable seasons in the College's history in any sport, has been named Conference Commissioners Association Women's Soccer Second Team All-America.

A gifted athlete who can change the course of any match with her intuitive play, solid shooting skills and great passing, Fannon the last two seasons helped elevate the program to a new level, rewrote the school's records books and placed herself among the College's elite.

Fannon becomes the second-highest-rated athlete in school history among All-America status and just the second female in school history to earn this honor.  Cliona Crammond in her senior campaign last season was picked third team CCA All-America.

It also is the fourth time a Goldey-Beacom student-athlete earned this status.  GBC and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Hall-of-Famer Michael Tobiason was named 2006 Men's Golf Honorable Mention All-America and Chahin Aghrim was tabbed 2017 first team Men's Soccer All-America.

This honor comes after Fannon also was picked the CACC Player of the Year, first team CCA All-East Region and to the league's All-Tournament Team.  All of this comes one year after her debut season saw her picked second team all-league.

Fannon's incredible skills and talents had many wanting to know when the team was playing.  In running out of encomiums to describe her, Fannon this season is first in the nation with 1.25 goals per game, first with 2.85 points per contest, second with 25 goals, fourth with 57 points and 57th with seven assists.

With the NCAA Tournament still in progress, the NCAA will not declare statistical champions until all stats are confirmed.

Fannon graduates first in school history with 39 career goals, first with 25 single-season goals, first with 57 single-season points, second with 92 career points and tied for seventh with 14 career assists.  Her goals and points are second best in CACC single-season history.

The Lightning's individual honors go beyond Fannon.  Sophomore Melayna Immediato (Hockessin, DE) was selected first team All-CACC and second team CCA All-East Region with junior Kelly Mejia (State College, PA) picked second team all-league and to the CACC All-Tournament Team.  Junior Rose Benjamin (North East, MD) was the CACC Top XVI Award winner for having the best GPA at the finals site with her and junior Line Kristoffersen (Bergen, Norway) also tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District.

Goldey-Beacom (11-7-2, 8-3-1 CACC) this season advanced to the CACC semifinals a program-record third straight year, hosted a conference quarterfinal game a team-best fourth consecutive season and played in the CACC Tournament a program-record sixth straight year.
