Garrett Brown Again Picked CACC Men’s Golf Player of the Week

Goldey-Beacom junior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) turned one of the best performances of his career into being named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Brown, who also earned league honors March 16, had one of the best finishes of his career by ending tied for third at the Dowling Memorial Tournament. He carded 73 on Friday and came back Saturday with 72 to close just two shots off the pace with 145.

It was Brown's second top-10 finish of the year and ninth career, helping the Lightning close ninth in another highly competitive field. The weekend also marked the 10th and 11th sub-80 rounds of the season for the two-time NCAA Regional qualifier.

Goldey-Beacom is in action Sunday and Monday at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational in Exton, PA.
