Men’s Golf Ends Regular Season at the Spartan Shootout

Goldey-Beacom concluded its 2025-26 regular season by competing at the 54-hole Spartan Shootout in Pomona, NY.

Senior William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand) had the best week for the Lightning in finishing tied for 12th at 226. He shot 74 in each of the first two rounds, which included four birdies in the first round and three in the second.

Senior Guillermo de Miguel (Cadiz, Spain) closed tied for 20th with 231, which included an opening-round 74. He had three birdies in the second round and two in the first.

Freshman Matteo Sasdelli (Florence, Italy) had another solid performance by ending tied for 22nd at 234. He carded an even-par 72 in the final round that included four birdies and him going out in a one-under-par 34.

Junior Pedro Huerta (Merida, Spain) was 36th with 254 and senior David Pic (Wilmington, DE) closed 37th at 265.

Goldey-Beacom ended sixth with 945. Post won with 881 and there was a three-way tie for medalist between Josh Freeman of Wilmington (DE), Phillip Granum of Post and Diego Ocasio of Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Goldey-Beacom now awaits if it will compete in the NCAA Regional as a team or only with individuals. The announcement will be made Sunday after 5:00 pm on NCAA.com.
