Men’s Golf Ends Third at the Husky Invitational

Goldey-Beacom saw two individuals close in the top 10 and the team end third at the Husky Invitational in Danville, PA.

Senior William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand) was outstanding in shooting 76, closing fifth. Kelly carded a one-over-par 37 on the back nine that included two birdies.

Freshman Matteo Sasdelli (Florence, Italy), on Thursday named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, fired 78 to end tied for eighth. He shot even-par 36 on the front side, which included birdies on the sixth and seventh holes.

Freshman Isaac Puerto Rodriguez (Lanzarote, Spain) was tied for 16th with 81, Ryne Miller (Wilmington, DE) finished tied for 18th with 82 and fellow senior David Pic (Wilmington, DE) closed tied for 33rd with 92.

Goldey-Beacom shot 317 to end 12 shots behind first-place Bloomsburg. Jarred Berish from Bloomsburg was the medalist with an even-par 72.

Goldey-Beacom from April 20-21 will be at the Spartan Shootout in Pomona, NY.
