Garrett Brown Named to CACC Men’s Golf Monthly Honor Roll

Another strong start to the season for Goldey-Beacom senior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) has placed him on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Monthly Honor Roll.

The honor is new for the conference to celebrate full-year sports not playing in their traditional season. The CACC Men's Golf Championship is played in April, but will move to the fall starting in 2017.

Brown averaged 77.0 over six rounds in September with a top-10 finish and two top-10 finishes within the region. He closed tied for seventh at the Glade Springs Invitational and tops among region golfers with 229, including a final-round 75. Brown also ended tied for 12th at the Charger Challenge with 155, including a final-round 77.

Brown is a two-time qualifier for the NCAA Regional and in 2015 was named all-conference. He also made the league's Spring Academic Honor Roll last season.

Goldey-Beacom is on the links Monday and Tuesday at the Post Eagles Invitational in Watertown, CT.
