News and Notes• Playing its fourth consecutive home match to begin the season, the Lightning men's soccer team will begin its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule this afternoon by welcoming Caldwell University to Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field for the second match of a doubleheader ... Opening kick-off between the Lightning and Cougars is slated for 3 p.m.
• Now 1-2-0 on the season, the Lightning will be trying to rebound from a tough 3-2 loss against Lock Haven on Tuesday afternoon ... The Lightning took a 1-0 lead in the opening five minutes of the match before Lock Haven used a three-goal run in the second half to claim the win.

Fernando Sanchez, who earned the CACC's Rookie of the Week award on Tuesday afternoon, is tied with sophomore
Rerom Delys for the team lead with two goals ... Sanchez also has an assist and leads the team with five points.

Manuel Berto scored his first career goal in the loss against Lock Haven on Tuesday afternoon while senior forward
Luiz Ristow tallied his first goal of the season.
• Off to a 2-1-0 start, the Cougars will be trying to extend their win streak to three straight matches after posting a 3-1 victory over East Stroudsburg on Tuesday afternoon ... Playing in their home opener, the Cougars sprinted out to a 3-0 lead in the first half en route to the victory.
• The Cougars have scored five goals in their first three matches with five different players scoring a goal ... Meanwhile,
Tim Centineo has recorded three assists in the first three matches, including a pair of assists in the win over East Stroudsburg ... Centineo is tied for the CACC lead (through matches of Sept. 11).
• Caldwell and Goldey-Beacom will be meeting for the 15th time in a series that the Cougars lead by a 7-6-1 margin ... In addition, Caldwell has won the last three encounters against Goldey-Beacom, including a 5-0 home victory last year.
• The Lightning will finish their homestand on Tuesday afternoon by welcoming defending CACC champion Philadelphia University to Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field for a 4 p.m. match.
