Men’s Soccer Dealt 4-1 Loss at Staten Island

Goldey-Beacom made its way to New York City and left with a 4-1 loss at Staten Island.
 
Goldey-Beacom drew things even, 1-1, in the 17th minute when freshman Franek Sadczuk (Chester, England) took a pass from sophomore Trevor Sullivan (Camden, DE) and scored his first collegiate goal.
 
But the Dolphins took over from there.  Yair Roman, who scored in the fourth minute, tallied in the 27th to give his squad a 2-1 cushion. Emmanuel Kambouris scored in the 28th minute for a two-goal margin and Roman completed his hat trick on a penalty kick in the 59th minute.
 
Sullivan attempted four shots and sophomore Adham Mohamed (West Windsor, NJ), the reigning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, made four saves for the Lightning (1-3-2).
 
Roman and Dylan Meadows had three shots apiece with Carlos Romero Astacio making five saves for the Dolphins (2-3).
 
Goldey-Beacom this Saturday plays its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener at Caldwell, beginning after 1:30 pm.
