Volleyball Falls at Holy Family in Three-Set Match

Lightning Drop Sixth Straight Match, Host Nyack on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Junior middle blocker Sarah Ambach (Springboro H.S./Springboro, Ohio) recorded a match-high 10 kills and hit .600 as Holy Family University (4-13, 2-3) earned its second win in the last three matches with a three-set victory over Goldey-Beacom College (4-9, 0-5) at the Tigers' Campus Center on Friday evening.

The Tigers, who were playing at home for the third time in the last four matches, defeated the Lightning by scores of 25-23, 25-15 and 25-18.

While Ambach led the Tigers to the victory, sophomore outside hitter Devyn Ingram (Upper Merion H.S./King of Prussia, Pa.) contributed nine kills and six digs while posting a .304 hitting percentage. Meanwhile, junior setter Chelsea Keegan (Colonel Crawford H.S./Bucyrus, Ohio), who leads the CACC in assists, tallied a match-high 32 assists while adding four digs and a block.

Freshman libero Madi McShane (Parkland H.S./Allentown, Pa.) had a match-high 16 digs for the Tigers, who hit .212 as a team.

Sophomore outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) led the Lighting with six kills and six digs while senior setter/opposite Monica Dempsey (Secaucus H.S./Secaucus, N.J.) posted six kills with seven assists and four digs.

Freshman setter Jamika Townsend (King's Fork H.S./Suffolk, Va.) nearly recorded a "double double" with 10 assists and eight digs. She also added five kills with a .417 hitting percentage.

The Lightning, who lost for the sixth straight match, will return to the Joseph West Jones College Center on Saturday afternoon to host Nyack College in a CACC match at 1 p.m.
