Volleyball Chosen to End Fifth in the CACC South Division

Goldey-Beacom was selected to end fifth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's South Division based on a vote of the league's coaches.

Sophomore Gabi Fullwood (Powder Springs, GA) provided the play at middle hitter Goldey-Beacom had sought for years. Her intense hitting with one of the quickest releases one will see in volleyball along with her unmistakable blocking played a big role in being named CACC Rookie of the Year, first team All-CACC and second team D2CCA All-East Region.

Fullwood ended last season 77th in the nation with a .327 hitting percentage (the second-best mark in team history) and third in the CACC with 98 blocks (fifth in GBC annals).

Junior Juliana Malena (Miami, FL) last season returned from injury not only to provide inspiration for the squad, but also create tremendous play that allowed her to be named third team All-CACC. She enters the year seventh in team history with 1,116 career assists.

Malena ended last season third in the league with 894 assists and recorded 16 double-doubles that included six straight.

Sophomore Kelci Gingras (Orem, UT) last year made her entrance at outside hitter and was a key member of the Lightning's offense. In addition to sharing the team lead of 256 kills with Fullwood, Gingras had double figures in kills 13 times that included eight of the last 11 matches and four straight.

Also excelling with the softball team, Gingras ended last spring second in the CACC with 20 doubles, 10th with a .582 on base percentage and 11th with a .373 batting average.

Junior libero Brianna Anderson (Mesa, AZ) arrives from Mesa Community College looking to aid the squad's defense. She ended last season as the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference DII Libero of the Year a second straight season, first team All-ACCAC and first team all-region. Anderson in 2024 also was picked first team all-region.

Junior outside hitter Etta Harris (North East, MD) was a standout for Cecil College and seeks to provide that same play for the Lightning. She is a two-time first team All-Region 20 pick, led Region 20 last season with 344 kills, posted double figures in kills 14 times and owns the Seahawks career mark with 646 kills.
