Goldey-Beacom Gets Four Selected for CACC Weekly Honors

Goldey-Beacom this week saw Gabi Fullwood (Powder Springs, GA) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, fellow sophomore Juliana Malena (Miami, FL) tabbed Setter of the Week, freshman Kelci Gingras (Orem, UT) picked to the sport's Weekly Honor Roll and freshman Malaika Nunziata (Cape Town, South Africa) named to the Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Fullwood had 29 kills, a .456 hitting percentage and 10 blocks that included seven block solos in two Goldey-Beacom wins.  She simply was awesome in Goldey-Beacom's 3-1 victory Tuesday over Jefferson with 15 kills, zero errors, a .536 percentage and six blocks that included five block solos.  Fullwood also had 14 kills, a .379 percentage and four blocks Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's five-set triumph over Kutztown.
 
Fullwood so far this season has been a dynamo with 97 kills, 37 blocks and a .333 hitting percentage.  She has notched double figures in kills four times that includes each of her last three matches.
 
Malena dished 104 assists over three matches.  She had a career-best 50 assists to go with 16 digs Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 3-2 win over Kutztown after getting 41 and 13 on Tuesday vs. Jefferson.
 
Malena this season has notched six double-doubles that include four of her last five matches.  She has 360 assists on the season and 582 career.
 
Gingras had 29 kills and 37 digs over three matches.  She notched 13 kills and a season-high 22 digs Saturday vs. Kutztown after getting 10 and 11 on Tuesday vs. Jefferson.
 
Gingras this season has three double-doubles that include two of her last three matches.
 
Nunziata went 1-0-1 on the week with 12 saves.  She had seven saves Tuesday in Goldey-Beacom's 1-1 tie at Holy Family and made five Saturday in her squad's 2-1 triumph at Staten Island.
 
Nunziata on the season has made 41 saves over 518 minutes, which included a season-high 13 on September 16 at Chestnut Hill.
