Goldey-Beacom's 2025-26 campaign got off to an impressive start with the team closing tied for second at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preview, which took place at White Clay Creek Country Club in Wilmington, DE.

Freshman Matteo Sasdelli (Florence, Italy) exceled in his first match, carding four birdies and shooting a two-over-par 74 to end fourth.  Freshman Isaac Puerto Rodriguez (Spain) had an impressive debut for the Navy Blue and Vegas Gold, knocking in three birdies and firing a four-over-par 76 to end tied for seventh.

Senior William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand), aided by three birdies, shot 79 and finished tied for 15th.  Senior David Pic (Wilmington, DE) overall made three birdies and shot 39 on the back nine, closing tied for 28th with 82.

Senior Armando Campana (Lima, Peru) shot 41 on the front nine en route to carding 86 and finishing tied for 35th.  Freshman Lukas Pusnik (Spain) birdied two par-five holes and carded 43 on the front nine, ending 42nd with 90.

Goldey-Beacom shot an impressive 311 on what always is a challenging course.  Sebastian Ramos from Wilmington won with a two-under-par 70 and his team was victorious with 295.

Goldey-Beacom in 2024-25 won the CACC title a third straight season and advanced to the NCAA Regional a fourth consecutive year.  The CACC crown was one of five victories on the year for the Lightning.

The sixth CACC championship in program history and the most by any GBC team also marked the second time the program has won three straight titles, matching the feet from the 2002-03 season through 2004-05.  It also was the 14th CACC title in the College's history, which the Men's Track & Field team last spring changed to 15.

While this round counts toward the players and teams statistics, it is meant to be a preview of the course in which the CACC Championship will be played.  The 54-hole championship will be October 5-7 with three rounds over three days.  Previously, a practice round was played on day one with the three championship rounds competed over the final two days.

Goldey-Beacom next Monday and Tuesday competes at the Blue Hen Intercollegiate, also at White Clay Creek CC.
