Men’s Golf in Second Place After Day One of the Jefferson Invitational

Senior Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) sits tied for first place with 72 and his play has Goldey-Beacom in second after day one of the Jefferson Invitational in Norristown, PA.
 
Bonilla, who is ranked 12th in the East Region, had yet another impressive day in helping the Lightning shoot 306.  Freshman Beto Torres (Merida, Spain) also played a big role in the team's round, totaling 75.
 
Sophomore Pedro Huerta (Merida, Spain) carded 79, junior Guillermo de Miguel (Cadiz, Spain) shot 80 and senior Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) closed with 83.
 
Bonilla is tied with Alexander Lundvall from Dominican (NY) for the top spot.  Dominican leads the pack with 304.
 
It is the Lightning's first tournament of the spring as they get ready for a fourth straight trip to the NCAA Regionals.  They clinched the berth by winning their third consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title.
 
Goldey-Beacom also is listed in the first NCAA East Regional rankings.

Final-round action takes place Friday.
