Matteo Sasdelli Aces His Way into Fifth Place for Men’s Golf at the Husky Invitational

Freshman Matteo Sasdelli (Florence, Italy) made a hole-in-one early in his round and closed fifth with 73 at the Husky Invitational in Danville, PA.

Sasdelli provided the Lightning's main highlight, getting a hole-in-one on the 166-yard eighth hole. It was his third hole of the day and at that point put him at two-under par, which included a birdie on the par-four sixth to start his day.

Sasdelli ended his round with four birdies to shoot one-over-par on the par 72 course.

Senior William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand) closed tied for 11th with 77, senior Guillermo de Miguel (Cadiz, Spain) was tied for 15th with 78 and freshman Isaac Puerto Rodriguez (Lanzarote, Spain) ended tied for 26th with 80.

Goldey-Beacom finished tied for third with 308 and Millersville won with 294. Logan Wagner from Millersville was the medalist with a two-under-par 70.

This ends another outstanding fall campaign in which the Lightning closed second at the Jefferson Invitational, tied for second at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preview and fourth at the CACC Championship. GBC this spring looks to continue its march toward what would be a school-record fifth straight trip to the NCAA Regional.
