Goldey-Beacom battled strong winds at the NCAA Regional Preview to close tied for 12th after two rounds in Wheeling, WV.
 
Junior Hunter McGee (Almonte, Ont.) moved up an incredible 18 places to lead the Lightning, playing a round of 78 to close tied for 32nd with 155. Having shot a round one of 72, fellow junior Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia) carded 84 in round two for a total of 156 to place tied for 37th.
 
Junior Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) and sophomore William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand) placed within one shot of each other with 160 and 161. Bonilla played rounds of 77 and 83 to finish tied for 60th and Kelly placed tied for 66th, carding 76 and 85.
 
Junior Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) closed the scores with 167, following a round one of 76 with 91 in round two to place tied for 99th.
 
The Lightning placed shot 630, tying with Adelphi. Fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competitor Post placed ninth with 624.
 
Goldey-Beacom heads back to Wheeling, WV on Thursday, May 9 to compete at the three-day NCAA Regional tournament. Rounds begin at 7:30 am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
