Goldey-Beacom notched its fifth victory of the season and junior Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) recorded his first collegiate triumph, both at the Jefferson Invitational in Norristown, PA.
GBC shot a final-round 284 and overall carded 582, moving one victory shy of the single-season school record accomplished when the squad recorded six wins during the 2004-05 campaign.
Bonilla followed Tuesday's 72 with another 72 to close at 144, one shot ahead of junior teammate Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON). The latter carded a final-round 71 after Tuesday's 74 to end at 145.
Junior Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia) finished third with 148 that included a final-round 71, sophomore William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand) closed at 153 that included Wednesday's 70, junior Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) carded 155 and freshman Pedro Huerta (Merida, Spain) shot 156.
Goldey-Beacom stands 86th in the country and is first in the East Region, both according to the NCAA Regional Rankings and Clippd.
GBC, the two-time defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champions, along the way topped league foes Dominican-NY (608), Wilmington (627), Jefferson (627) and Chestnut Hill (682).
Goldey-Beacom next Monday and Tuesday is in action at the NCAA Regional Preview in Wheeling, WV. Many of the teams expected to compete in next month's NCAA East/Atlantic Regional will take part in this event at Oglebay Golf Resort.
