4/15/2024 12:00:00 AM

More outstanding performances from Goldey-Beacom's spring teams saw junior Braden Kolmansberger (Lewisberry, PA) named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Weekly Honor Roll and senior Hannah Davis (Bethel, DE) picked to Softball's Weekly Honor Roll.

Kolmansberger hit .500 (11-for-22) on the week with three doubles, three home runs and 10 RBI.  He exploded Tuesday against Holy Family with three home runs and five RBI as part of his 3-for-3 day in Goldey-Beacom's 14-3 victory.  Kolmansberger also had three hits and three RBI on Saturday in his squad's 31-6 rout of Holy Family.

In what truly has been a stretch beyond words, the standout shortstop has been in the zone as one of the area's top hitters.  During his 21-game hitting streak, Kolmansberger is batting .532 (41-for-77) with nine doubles, a triple, 10 home runs and 42 RBI.  His streak is five off the school record, set last season by senior second baseman Kyle Walker (Wilmington, DE).

Kolmansberger is first in the CACC with 12 doubles, first with 46 RBI, second with 10 home runs, second with 52 hits and third with a .397 batting average.

His effort has the Lightning (25-13, 9-5 CACC) ranked second in the East Region, according to the National Baseball Writers Coaches Association, and as high as 22nd earlier this season in the association's national poll.

Davis batted .476 (10-for-21) over seven games with four doubles and two RBI.  She went 3-for-3 in game two Wednesday against Jefferson, the middle contest of a streak in which she had three straight contests with a double.

A standout left fielder for parts of five seasons, Davis now is on a 14-game hitting streak in which she is batting .447 (21-of-47) with four doubles, a triple, five RBI and four stolen bases.

Davis is fourth in the CACC with 51 hits, seventh with 17 stolen bases, eighth with nine doubles, ninth with two triples and 11th with a .386 batting average.

Goldey-Beacom (19-23, 9-5 CACC) has won three of its last five contests and is tied for fourth in the CACC.  The league's top four teams will host the first round of the conference tournament on Saturday, April 27.
