Goldey-Beacom opened its spring season with an impressive showing on day one at the Edwin Cottrell Invitational in West Chester, PA.
 
The Lightning closed day one in first place with 286, just one stroke ahead of Wester Chester.
 
Junior Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) leads the way for Goldey-Beacom, closing round one tied for third place with 68. Fellow junior Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON), Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference individual champion, follows close behind with 71 to end tied for fifth place.
 
Tied for 10th, junior Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia) shot 73 and fellow junior Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) recorded 74 on the round to sit tied for 13th.

Not included in the team scores, sophomore William Kelly scored 77 to sit tied for 23rd, and freshman Pedro Huerta sits tied for 34th after carding 83 in round one. 
 
Goldey-Beacom concludes the competition with another round Tuesday in West Chester, PA.
