Sensational Six for Goldey-Beacom Gain Mention for CACC Weekly Honors

Goldey-Beacom had another successful week that earned six honors from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
 
Junior Bryn Bohmann (Saskatoon, SK) was picked Softball's Player of the Week, freshman McKenna Frank (Oxford, PA) was tabbed the sport's Rookie of the Week, senior Justin Jump (Wilmington, DE) was named Baseball's Pitcher of the Week, junior Christian Petrillo (New Brunswick, NJ) was picked to the sport's Weekly Honor Roll, Janiya Stevens (Ellendale, DE) got the same honor for Women's Basketball and sophomore Zayon Marsh (Maplewood, NJ) earned the same pick for Men's Basketball.
 
Bohmann hit .471 (8-for-17) last week with two doubles, a home run and nine RBI over six games.  She notched a hit in each of the first five games, which included a two-run homer and three RBI in game two Tuesday vs. Bloomsburg.  Bohmann went 3-for-3 in game one Sunday vs. Staten Island, which included a pair of RBI doubles.
 
Off to an impressive start following a strong fall season, Bohmann is first on the team with 12 RBI, second with a .391 batting average and tied for second with nine hits.  She just went on a six-game hitting streak and has three multi-hit contests.
 
Frank batted .318 (7-for-22) on the week with four doubles and four RBI over six contests.  She had two doubles and four RBI in game two Sunday, a 9-1 Goldey-Beacom over Staten Island.
 
Frank also had enjoyed a strong start, notching a hit in six of the Lightning's eight contests with three multi-hit games.  She is tied for second on the team with nine hits and also owns a .310 batting average.
 
Jump struck out eight over seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and two walks in No. 23 Goldey-Beacom's 10-0 triumph Saturday over Kutztown.
 
Tossing for GBC in parts of five seasons, Jump has been a solid player on the bump that included five victories and 76 strikeouts a season ago.  He is fourth in team history with 144 strikeouts and fifth with eight wins.
 
Petrillo batted .500 (5-for-10) on the week with two doubles, four RBI and three stolen bases over four games.  He went 5-for-7 in Goldey-Beacom's doubleheader sweep Sunday against Clarion, which included a two-run double, three RBI and two stolen bases in game one.  Petrillo in game two went 3-for-3 with a double and a sacrifice fly.
 
Petrillo a season ago was picked second team All-CACC as a prolific hitter, solid base runner and impeccable center fielder.  He is third in team history with 42 stolen bases and fourth with a .331 batting average.
 
Stevens continued her impressive play with 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting, went 8-for-8 from the line and hauled in 10 rebounds Tuesday in Goldey-Beacom's massive 55-53 triumph at Chestnut Hill.
 
Owner of five double-doubles on the season, Stevens has been a solid member in the post by averaging 22.8 points and 8.5 rebounds over the last four games.  She is seventh in the league with a .485 field goal percentage, 13th with 7.1 rebounds per game and 21st with 10.5 points per contest.
 
Marsh scored 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting with 13 rebounds in Goldey-Beacom's 81-74 victory Tuesday at Chestnut Hill.
 
Tabbed second team All-CACC last season, Marsh this season again has been on a tear in the paint.  He is sixth in the league with 17.0 points per game, sixth with 7.8 rebounds per contest and 12th with a .522 field goal percentage.
