Goldey-Beacom's men's and women's soccer teams got a combined 15 student-athletes picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team.

The women's squad had 10 selected with seniors Alex Lowry (Wenonah, NJ), Lexi Coppola (Turnersville, NJ) and Tori Nilles (Fallston, MD) tabbed a third time.  Seniors Nikki Cashin (Ridley, PA) and Jenna Campagna (Middletown, DE) along with junior Kaitlyn Nolan (Central Valley, NY) were honored a second time with seniors Kira Cohen (Reisterstown, MD), Sia Diakos (Frankford, DE) and Bella Davidoski (Turnersville, NJ) along with sophomore Teagan Ayers (Millersburg, PA) getting their first nod.

The men's team had five selected with Cameron Michalak (Elkton, MD) named a third time, fellow seniors Dominique Ojeil (Falkenberg, Sweden) and Byron Suarez (Seaford, DE) each getting their second pick with junior Cody Niggebrugge (Middletown, DE) and senior Colby Niggebrugge (Middletown, DE) honored for the first time with Goldey-Beacom.

Among the women's highlights, Lowry concludes an outstanding soccer career in which she now is a five-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District pick that includes twice with softball.  She ends her time with 11 goals and 30 points, which included seven and 18 from her sophomore year in 2022.

Cashin played solidly in goal, repeatedly overcoming injury to give the Lightning valuable minutes and elevate the team's play.  She graduates fifth in team history with 200 saves and fifth with a 1.70 goals against average.

Diakos on October 7 was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll and Nolan got the same nod a week later.

The season was the first for new coach Mitch Kazanjian, who joined the squad a mere weeks before its commencement and received a great deal of performance and effort from the student-athletes.  Goldey-Beacom went into the final match day with a chance of making the CACC Tournament.

For the men's squad, Michalak is a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and Colby Niggebrugge closed fifth on the team this season with nine points.  The latter on October 21 was picked to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll.

Suarez played in 14 games with Ojeil seeing action in 13 contests.

Goldey-Beacom ended the regular season with victories in four of its last six contests to clinch its second consecutive trip to the CACC Tournament.  The team saw newcomers account for three of the squad's top four point totals on the year, including its top two goal scorers.
