Goldey-Beacom, the two-time defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champion, displayed a solid performance over the first two rounds of the tournament's 2024 edition and is tied for the lead.

GBC in the opening round of the three-round event carded 299 on Monday morning and then fired 307 in the afternoon for 606.  It is tied with Wilmington (DE), which went 298 and 308 on the day for its 606.

The Lightning once again were led by senior Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia), who exploded in the opening round with 68 that included eight birdies overall and him shooting 32 on the back nine.  The three-time All-CACC performer carded 79 in the afternoon and sits third with 147, just four shots off the lead.

Junior Guillermo de Miguel (Cadiz, Spain) has put forth a more than impressive debut season and this was another example.  After shooting 78 in the morning, he rolled in five birdies in the afternoon and now is fifth with 150.

Junior William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand), an All-CACC player a season ago, opened with 77 that included an eagle on the par-five eighth hole to go with three birdies.  He carded 76 in the afternoon to sit tied for ninth with 153.

Fellow 2023-24 All-CACC member Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) amassed five birdies over the 36 holes and is tied for 18th with 156, including an opening-round 76.  Freshman Beto Torres (Merida, Spain) in the afternoon recorded two birdies to end with 81, putting him tied for 30th with 164.

Goldey-Beacom continued to take advantage of the par-five holes, carding a 5.08 average to pace the field.  The Lightning also had the lead in birdies, recording 29, and were second over the par-four holes with a 4.26 average.

This sets the stage for Tuesday's final round, which Goldey-Beacom will play alongside Wilmington and third-place Dominican (NY).  The first tee time at White Clay Creek Country Club for these three schools is at 10:10 am.
