Goldey-Beacom in the final round continued the momentum it built during the first 36 holes and rolled to a 13-shot victory at the West Liberty Invitational in Steubenville, OH.

Tuesday's final round for the Lightning saw yet another impressive showing from junior Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia), an All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference member from a season ago.  He shot 71 in the final round and closed the championship tied for second with 217.

Junior Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia), a four-time All-CACC performer, followed his career-best 68 from Monday's second round to shoot 73 and also end tied for second with 217.

The aforementioned 217 ties the school record for a 54-hole tournament, previously set when Gonzalo Moreno carded this March 9-10, 2020 at the Hargett Invitational.

Junior Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON) again was on his game that allowed him to be a four-time All-CACC pick.  He carded a final-round 72 after shooting a second-round 73, ending with 219.

Sophomore William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand) has solidified his spot in the top five and this week showed why, carding an opening-round 71 to close with 219.

Junior Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) finalized the group, shooting 73 each of the first two rounds to end with 220.

Goldey-Beacom made the most of all of these scores, ending with 867 to finish well ahead of Glenville State's mark of 880.  That easily breaks the school record for lowest 54-hole showing in program history, besting the 897 shot at the 2020 Hargett Invitational and last fall's victorious CACC Championship.

This was helped by a second-round 285, the third-best total in program history.

California (PA) was third with 894 and Davis & Elkins, the reigning NCAA East/Atlantic Regional champion, closed fourth at 898.

Ben Fernandez of Glenville State took medalist honors, shooting 68 and 69 on day one to win with 214.

This marked Goldey-Beacom's final tune-up before heading to Watertown, CT in hopes of repeating as CACC champions.  Monday will feature the first two rounds, beginning at 8:30 am, with the final round taking place Tuesday.
