Goldey-Beacom took to the course for the first time this season in Townsend, MA to compete in the Franklin Pierce Invitational.
 
The Lighting showed strong play through ten holes before play was suspended.
 
Junior Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) leads the way for the Lightning at two over par, with fellow junior Hunter McGee (Almonte, Ont.) closely behind at three over par.
 
Junior Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia) and sophomore William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand) sit at four over par while, at six over par, junior Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) closes out the scores.
 
The Lightning attempt to defend their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title this season to return to the NCAA Regional tournament for the third year in a row.
 
Round one of competition will be completed on Monday, with rounds beginning at 8:00 am. The final round will be played following completion of round one.
