(results)

Goldey-Beacom was one of 20 teams and its five student-athletes were among 108 individuals who braved the heat, humidity and fatigue that was the second round of the NCAA East/Atlantic Regional in Lebanon, PA.

Thursday's first round provided ideal weather and great scoring conditions.  Friday's second round saw temperatures soar into the mid 80s and provide a challenge among those looking to call themselves the regions' best.

Sophomore Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON) continues to find himself in that discussion, following Thursday's 73 with a 74 that puts him tied for sixth with 147.  The four-time All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Team pick overall Friday carded three birdies, went out in 36 and is tied for seventh in the championship with seven birdies.

McGee also is in a seven-way tie for second place among the golfers whose teams are not in the top three.  The top three teams advance to the national tournament along with the top two golfers not from those teams.

Sophomore Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia), another four-time first team All-CACC pick, shot 80 and is tied for 34th with 153.  He notched two birdies on the round and shot 38 on the front nine.

Sophomore Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) is tied for 39th with 154, including a second-round 78.  The two-time All-CACC selection recorded three birdies for the day and carded 38 on the back nine.

Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) is at 164 after shooting 82 and 2022 CACC individual champion Mason Kucy (Camrose, AB) is at 177.

Goldey-Beacom is 14th in the team standings with 618 after Friday's 314.  David & Elkins is tops with 594 and Donte Groppuso from Saint Thomas Aquinas holds the individual lead with 138.

GBC on Saturday plays in the final round with tee times at 9:10 am, 9:20 am, 9:30 am, 9:40 am and 9:50 am.
