Sophomore Hunter McGee (Almonte, Ontario) recorded 141 to claim the individual title and secure Goldey-Beacom third place at the Spartan Shootout in Pomona, NY.
 
McGee finished two rounds three under par and seven shots ahead of second place, with 69 in round one and 72 in round two, to notch his first individual title of the 2022-2023 season.
 
Sophomores Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia) and Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) finished tied for 23^rd with 155. Saenz Avila recorded 77 on round one and 78 on round two, and Bonilla had 75 on round one before shooting 80 on round two.
 
Sophomore Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) played an improved second round of 75 after 82 on the first round to move up 14 places and finish tied for 28th with 157.
 
Sophomore Ryan Jarvis (Higham Ferrers, England) finished 44th with 164, rounds of 86 and 78, and fellow sophomore Mason Kucy (Camrose, Alberta) followed just behind tied for 45th place with rounds of 83 and 82 for a total of 165.
 
The Lightning shot a total of 608 to place above fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competitors Dominican (NY) and Felician.
 
Goldey-Beacom travels to Indiana, PA to compete in the Spadafora IUP Invitational on Monday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 18, with rounds beginning at 11:00 am and 10:00 am on each day.
