Hunter McGee Picked to the CACC Men’s Golf Monthly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom sophomore Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON), who continues to tear up the golf course as one of the College's preeminent student-athletes, has been picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Monthly Honor Roll.

McGee ended tied for 21st at the D&E Battle at Brunswick, carding 155 that included a final-round 73.

McGee's, who last Friday won the Spartan Shootout with 141, got his first win of the campaign and sixth top-10 finish of the season. He now has five career victories, moving into sole possession of second place in team history with the school record of 23 held by Goldey-Beacom Athletics and CACC Hall-of-Fame inductee Mike Tobiason.

It truly has been an outstanding career for McGee, who earlier this season helped GBC capture the CACC title and an automatic berth into the NCAA Regionals. He has been named to the All-CACC Team each of the last three seasons and was the 2021 conference Player of the Year. McGee closed that regular season ranked first in the East Region.

Because both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns were played under COVID-19 regulations, McGee is considered a sophomore even those he is in his fourth season.

This season, McGee is ranked third in the region and is averaging 73.21 over 14 rounds. He has broken 70 three times, including a final-round 67 on September 19 at the FPU Fall Invitational.

Goldey-Beacom has four victories to its credit this season, a pair of third-place showings and is ranked sixth in the East.

Goldey-Beacom is on the course Monday and Tuesday for the Spadafora IUP Invitational in Indiana, PA. Monday's shotgun start is at 11:00 am and Tuesday's is at 10:00 am.
