William Kelly Picked to the CACC Men’s Golf Weekly Honor Roll

Sophomore William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand), an important part of Goldey-Beacom winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title, today was named to the league's Weekly Honor Roll.

Kelly ended third last Thursday at the Husky Invitational, shooting 74. He came in with 34 that included birdies on the par-five 11th and 13th holes.

Kelly earlier this month competed in his first CACC Championship, ending tied for 18th with 229 that included a second-round 73. It played a massive role in the Lightning winning by one shot for their second consecutive league crown.

A solid competitor all season, Kelly shot an opening-round and career-best 71 at the West Liberty Invitational to finish with 219 and help GBC to its first win of the season.

Last season, Kelly averaged 78.11 over nine rounds and on September 14 was tabbed the league's Rookie of the Week.

Goldey-Beacom is awaiting the announcement of the team's spring schedule. We know one of the events will be the NCAA Regional from May 9-11, which will be the squad's 10th appearance in this event and third straight.
