Goldey-Beacom sophomore Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON) again showed brilliance in tying his career best with 67, helping him shoot 141 overall to end tied for seventh at the FPU Fall Invitational in Townsend, MA.

After getting four birdies Sunday in the opening round, McGee went one better Monday on a day in which he had 11 pars and only two bogeys.  The 67 for the three-time All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference player and reigning league individual champion equals his round from the 2021 Mike Bello Invitational.  In that same tournament, he fired a career-best 139.

McGee's nine birdies on the week and his four-under-par score on par fives both were tied for second.

Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) shot 75 to end tied for 23rd with 149 and fellow sophomore Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia) equaled Sunday's 77 to finish tied for 38th with 154.  Freshman William Kelly (Auckland, New Zealand) matched his season best with 73, finishing tied for 44th with 156 and sophomore Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) had 165 to end tied for 65th.

Goldey-Beacom closed seventh, carding 292 on the day to end 600 for the championship.  The Navy Blue and Vegas Gold were second of the league's five teams in the field, besting Dominican (NY), Felician and Chestnut Hill.

It was the final tune-up before Goldey-Beacom takes part in the CACC Championship.  Play will be conducted October 3-4 at the Watertown Golf Club in Watertown, CT.
