Men’s Golf Ties for Second Place at Edwin Cottrell Invit. Samur One off School Record at 67

Goldey-Beacom rounded out tournament play on Tuesday, shooting a 295 on the day to finish tied for second place in the Edwin Cottrell Invitational in West Chester, PA.

Freshman Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) shot one off the school record, carding 67 to close with 146 strokes and tied for third place. Samur's round of 67 is a tournament-record low and just the fourth time a player has carded a score in the 60s in the 12 years of the Edwin Cottrell Invitational.

Freshman Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON) tied for sixth place, carding 78, totaling 149 strokes. Freshman Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia) closed tied for 18th carding 72 to close with 150 strokes.

Freshman Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) carded 78, totaling 158 strokes, tied for 26th and teammate freshman Mason Kucy (Camrose, Alb.) shot an 84, ending tied for 47th with 164 strokes.

Goldey-Beacom ended tied for second place, upending fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference foes Dominican (NY.), Chestnut Hill, U. of the Sciences and Felician.  Indiana University of PA won with 600.

Goldey-Beacom travels to Victor, NY to compete in the Showcase Invitational on Sunday, April 10 teeing off at 9am.
