Goldey-Beacom endured frigid temperatures on Tuesday, opening its spring season by shooting 300 to take third place at the Charger Challenge in Emerson, NJ.
Freshmen Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia) and Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) once again continued their strong play by carding 74 to close tied for third. Freshman Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) shot 75 and was tied for eighth.
Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON) carded 77 to finish tied for 16th and fellow freshman Mason Kucy (Camrose, Alb.) shot 86 to end 43rd.
Goldey-Beacom ended in third place with one day of play, upending fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference foes Post and Felician. Saint Thomas Aquinas won with 298.
Goldey-Beacom is back in action Monday, April 4 as the team competes in the Edwin Cottrell Invitational, a two-day tournament. Tee off is set for 1:00 pm.
