Camilo Samur Tabbed CACC Men’s Golf Player of the Week

Freshman Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) has worked his way up the ladder to become one of the top golfers for Goldey-Beacom and that was rewarded today in him being named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week.

Samur ended tied for third at the FPU Fall Invitational with 143. He began play Sunday with a one-under-par 71 and then shot an even-par 72 on Monday to remain one under for the tournament.

Samur is off to a blistering start by averaging 73.0 over his first three rounds. He closed fifth at the season-opening Jefferson Tri-Match with 76, helping the Lightning with the tournament with 295.

Goldey-Beacom is in action Friday and Saturday at the Mercyhurst Fall Invitational in North East, PA.
