Men’s Golf Finishes Strong at the FPU Fall Invitational

Another day produced yet another solid round and that was the story for Goldey-Beacom, which concluded its stay at the FPU Fall Invitational in Keene, NH.

Freshman Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) fired an even par 72 to close the championship tied for third and just two shots off the pace with a one-under 143. Off to an outstanding start in the young year, Samur is averaging 73.0 over his first three rounds.

Freshman Hunter McGee (Almonte, ON) also shot a final-round 72, ending the tournament tied for 22nd with 149 that included a team-best seven birdies. He is averaging 74.0 over his first 54 holes.

Freshman Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogata, Colombia) shot 78 to finish the 36-hole event tied for 37th with 154. Freshman Mason Kucy (Camrose, AB) carded 81 to also end with 154 and freshman Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) fired an 81 to finish at 161.

Goldey-Beacom on Monday shot 303 to end the championship in eighth place with 600. Southern New Hampshire won the title with 580.

GBC is in action Friday and Saturday at the Mercyhurst Fall Invitational in North East, PA.
