Goldey-Beacom had many strong individual showings this weekend during its first tournament of the season, including the final round of the Browngolf Intercollegiate in Jackson Springs, NC.

Again making a strong impression was freshman Hunter McGee (Carp, ON), who carded a final-round 77 to end the championship tied for 31st with 157.  McGee went out in 34 that included three birdies and then recorded his fourth birdie of the day on the par-5 14th hole.

Freshman Pablo Saenz Avila (Bogota, Colombia), like McGee an All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference pick last season, shot 83 to close tied for 55th at 164.  He went out in 40 with five pars and then notched three pars on the back nine.

Freshman Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) ended tied for 66th with 172, notching 86 for a second consecutive day that included seven pars in Saturday's final round.  Freshman Mason Kucy (Camrose, AB) shot 90 on the day and finished at 188.

GBC shot 336 over the final round and 681 for the championship.

Goldey-Beacom is off until Wednesday, March 24, when it competes at the Jefferson Tri-Match in Lafayette Hill, PA.
