Track and Field Competed in the Eastern Shore Challenge

Goldey-Beacom Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed at the Eastern Shore Challenge.

Alex Eaddy (Townsend, Del.) took second place in the men's triple jump with a jump of 13.22 meters. Eaddy also took seventh place in the men's 100 meter dash with a time of 11.25 seconds.

Aaron Easter (Elkton, Md.) got second place in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:48.77.

Elijah Howe (Canberra, Australia), Jacob Smeltzer (Merchantville, N.J.) and Justin Derosiers (Townsend, Del.) all competed in the men's 800-meter run. Howe finished with a time of 2:09.35, Smeltzer finished with a time of 2:21.21, and Desrosiers finished with a time of 2:25.10.

Eli Taylor (Smyrna, Del.) got 10th place in the men's shot put with a throw of 11.70 meters. Taylor also tools sixth place in the men's discus throw with a throw of 37.35 meters.

Alexis Harrison (Millville, N.J.) took fourth place in the women's shot put with a throw of 10.99 meters. Tamia Davis also competed and had a throw of 9.66 meters.

Harrison also took fourth place in the women's discus throw with a throw of 35.48 meters and Davis took 10th place with a throw of 29.72 meters.

Cara Jones (Wilmington, Del.) finished in 10th place in the women's 1500 meter run with a time of 5:30.43.

Chelsey James (Cherry Hill, N.J.) competed in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.81 seconds.

Kayla Cook (Hebron, Md.) took sixth place in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.66 seconds. Cook also took seventh place in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 26.18 seconds.

Goldey-Beacom Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams are back in action on Saturday April 27, at the Paul Kaiser Classic in Shippensburg, PA at 10am.
