Goldey-Beacom track and field teams took the trip to University Park, PA to compete at the Penn State Tune-Up and had strong showings by both the men and the women.

For the men, junior Jalen Wright (Wilmington, DE) placed fourth in both the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash with times of 22.00 seconds and 48.54 seconds. Also in the 200-meter dash, senior Kedar Reid (Bear, DE) placed 23rd in of 23.76 seconds. Along with Wright in the 400-meter dash, junior Bostwick Patten (Middletown, DE) closed 10th in 50.31 seconds, freshman Cardin Benjamin (Lewes, DE) ended 23rd in 52.51 seconds and freshman Quran McCoy (Mays Landing, N.J.) closed 32nd in 56.27 seconds. The 3000-meter run saw freshman Eerik Nou Wihlborg (Helsingborg, Sweden) place 11th in 8:53.75.

In the field events, senior Jayvon Laguerre (Milford, DE) placed third in high jump with a jump of 1.95m and twelfth in long jump with a jump of 5.62m.

For the women, in the 200-meter dash, sophomore Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, N.J.) and junior Tania Alfaro (San Jose, Costa Rica) both finished in 26.42 seconds, taking 11th and 12th place. Freshman Anna Pissarotti (Italy) placed 18th in 26.67 seconds. In the 400-meter dash, Dixon was 19th in 1:01.68 and sophomore Aiyana Adams (Pittsburgh, PA) finished 30th in 1:04.22. The 800-meter run saw sophomore Liv Drewling (Düsseldorf, Germany) place 17th in 2:25.39 and sophomore Ella Badra (Caracas, Venezuela) finish 24th in 2:32.32. 

In the field events, freshman Ana Thaler (Ljubljana, Slovenia) placed ninth in the high jump at 1.60m. Senior Jourdyn Rumph (Ardmore, Pa.) was seventh in the shot put with a throw of 11.96m and 11th in weight throw with a throw of 12.51m.

Both teams return to action on March 7, when they travel to Salisbury, MD to compete at the Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet at 11am.
