Women's Track and Field Competes at the Haverford Invitational

Goldey-Beacom track and field teams competed at the Haverford Invitational and saw strong showings from both the men and women.

For the men, in the 110-meter hurdles, sophomore David Yunga (Philadelphia, PA) placed first overall with a time of 16.62 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, junior Jalen Wright (Wilmington, DE) placed second with a time of 22.70 seconds, senior Kedar Reid (Bear, DE) finished sixth with 23.65 seconds, junior Chris Robinson (Philadelphia, PA) placed seventh with a time of 23.68 seconds, and Yunga finished eighth with 23.70 seconds. In the 400-meter dash, Reid took first place with a time of 53.78 seconds. Freshman Quran McCoy (Mays Landing, NJ) placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with 1:00.83 while fellow freshman Cardin Benjamin (Lewes, DE) finished third in the 800-meter with 2:00.75. The 4x100 relay, made up of junior Bostwick Patten (Middletown, DE), junior Jose Cornejo (Sinaloa, Mexico), Robinson, and Wright, took first place with a time of 48.08 seconds.

For the women, in the 100-meter dash, sophomore Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ) placed first with a time of 12.52 seconds and sophomore Narlia Albert (Vieux Fort, St. Lucia) placed fourth with a time of 13.61. The 110-meter hurdles saw freshman Ana Thaler (Ljubljana, Slovenia) place first with a time of 15.93 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, junior Tania Alfaro (San Jose, Costa Rica) finished second with a time of 26.46 seconds, sophomore Liv Drewling (Düsseldorf, Germany) finished fourth with 27.71 seconds, Thaler placed fifth with 27.94 seconds, and sophomore Aiyana Adams (Pittsburgh, PA) placed seventh with 28.44 seconds. Adams also took third in the 400-meter with a time of 1:02.58. Sophomore Ella Badra (Caracas, Venezuela) finished fourth in the 800-meter with 2:27.71 and first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:11.00.

In the field events, freshman Anna Pissarotti (Italy) placed first in long jump with a jump of 5.05m, Drewling finished fifth with 4.90m, and sophomore Lara Zinsou-Bodé (Reinbek, Germany) placed seventh with a jump of 4.63m.

Goldey-Beacom competes next at the Penn Relays, starting on Thursday in Philadelphia, PA.
