Golf Finishes Play at the Towson Invitational

Goldey-Beacom once again displayed a strong showing against higher-echelon schools in closing play at the Towson Invitational in Grasonville, MD.

Junior Ryan Quigg (Sykesville, MD) followed his 80 from Saturday to shoot 78 and finish 39th with 158. Sophomore Shea Murphy (Wilmington, DE) also carded a Sunday 78, ending the tournament tied for 64th with 164.

Freshman Hunter Tollinger (Elkton, MD) was tied for 85th with 170, senior Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) finished 88th with 172 and freshman Corbin Babyak (Wallenpaupack, PA) closed 89th with 174.

In a tournament which featured 14 Division I schools, the Lightning ended 16th with 658 that included a final-round 325. That bested Division I Maryland Eastern Shore, who shot 681. St. Bonaventure won with 603.

Goldey-Beacom on Thursday and Friday will take part in the Mike Bello Invitational in Syracuse, NY.
