Men’s Golf Ends its Fall at the Le Moyne Invitational

Goldey-Beacom on Saturday posted an even better showing than it did Friday by closing its fall campaign at the Le Moyne Invitational in Manlius, NY.

After carding 312 on day one, the Lightning came back with 308 that still could not vault themselves among the leaders. Roberts Wesleyan shot 295 on the day and 583 for the championship to beat Laval University by two strokes.

Junior Braden Wheeler (Carleton, Place, ON) was the star on Saturday for GBC, firing an even-par 72 to finish the tournament with 148 and a tie for 11th. Junior Shea Murphy (Wilmington, DE) also impressed on day two, carding 75 to end the 36-hole event with 133 and tied for 33rd.

Senior Ryan Quigg (Sykesville, MD) was tied for 37th with 154 that included a final-round 79 and sophomore Corbin Babyak (Wallenpaupack, PA) shot 165 overall to close tied for 65th.
