Men’s Golf Opens Play at the Brown Golf Intercollegiate

Goldey-Beacom continued its season versus a competitive field by taking part in round one of the Brown Golf Intercollegiate in Jackson Springs, NC.

Junior Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) paced the Lightning with a 6-over-par 78 and is tied for 28th place. Senior Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) and sophomore Ryan Quigg (Sykesville, MD) each shot 80 and are tied for 40th.

Freshman Shea Murphy (Wilmington, DE) is tied for 51st with 82 and senior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD), a reigning member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll, is tied for 59th with 83.

GBC is tied for 10th place with 323 and Saint Thomas Aquinas holds the lead at 287.

Final-round action is Saturday, also at the Foxfire Resort and Golf Club.
