Men’s Golf Finishes Sixth at CACC Championship

Goldey-Beacom enjoyed a strong day by closing sixth at the 36-hole Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship in Middletown, DE.

Freshman Hunter Tollinger (Elkton, MD) came off a first-round 77 on Sunday to shoot 82 on Monday, finishing tied for 21st. Sophomore Shea Murphy (Wilmington, DE), named the Men's Golf winner of the CACC Top XVI Award, carded 82 to end tied for 23rd at 161 and freshman Corbin Babyak (Wallenpaupack, PA) fired 83 to also finish with 161.

Senior Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) shot 84 to finish tied for 29th at 163 and junior Ryan Quigg (Sykesville, MD) shot another 85 to end tied for 36th at 170.

Goldey-Beacom closed the championship with 644, ending today with 331 after going Sunday with 313.

Wilmington (DE) won the team title with 586 and Evan Hong from Concordia (NY) was the medalist with a two-over-par 144.

Goldey-Beacom next Monday and Tuesday will compete at the Post Eagles Invitational in Watertown, CT.
